Can you believe we’re getting into the 4th week of the year? It seems like we just celebrated New Year’s Eve, but now the month is almost over. Crazy. This week, I created a fun look in my happy planner, though I admit it’s a little busy. I might have to take it easy next week. I started with some patterned turquoise blue washi tape over the Morning-Afternoon-Evening header bars and some yellow striped washi tape on either side of the week. Then I added some great free printables from My Planner Envy I found on Pinterest.

I added in a few key dates like Martin Luther King Day, my sister-in-law Jaime’s birthday (She lives in Germany now, so I added in a reminder to order her gift on Thursday from Amazon. I’m an Amazon German Prime (technically Amazon.de Premium) member now, so I get 2-day shipping to her new digs.), a visit from my brother and his fiancé, and my friend’s restaurant’s anniversary party. I’m sure I’ll be adding in more appointments and to-do lists as I begin my week, but for now, this is a good start.
The little “idea bulb” paper clips also help and make it easy to store any random clippings throughout the week, but I picked those up ages ago at a solar energy conference in San Diego when I worked as an executive recruiter in the alternative energy sector. Did you know I used to do that? Can you picture me talking to scientists and CEOs all day long? I loved it.
I also created a bookmark from 2-sided scrapbook paper I bought on sale (the other side is little hearts), Mambi stickers, washi tape and a hole punch. It was super easy and it’s great for keeping my place. I hope you have a great week, and I can’t wait to see what song I end up playing on loop this week. Will it be Bieber again, because I just. can’t. stop.
